Tabernacle School

Taught by Prof. R. L. Nisbet and Miss Flowers, closed a most successful term with the concert on Thursday night, April 18th, [1918]. The program printed below, which is a most interesting one, was highly praised by all who witnessed it, as was the excellent work of both teachers and pupils during the term. The attendance at the concert was unusually large.

The program for the concert was as follows:

“Peace on Earth and Liberty,” – Chorus

“My Flag” – Robert Johnson

“Little Mothers” – eight small girls

“Seeing the Animals” – Mary Edna Bull, Louise Gassaway, R. L. Nisbet

“Spring Awakening:” Spring – Carrie Bull; Autumn – Audry Young; Winter – Minnie Lee Johnson; Sun – Nisbet Gassaway; Leaves – five small boys; Snowflakes – six small girls; Flowers – eight small girls

Play – “Not a Man in the House” Miss Maria Bing decides not to allow a man to enter her house. Complications arise which necessitate a man in the house. Miss Maria Bing – Velma Cothran; Miss Lucy Rider, her maiden sister – Mary Lou Baxter; Jesse Ray, a niece – Dell Culbreath; Aunt Belinda, old-fashioned lady who sympathizes with the young people – Rose Cothran; Kate, a servant – Urma Smith
