Dudley Lee Baskerville was inducted into the U.S. Army at Camp Forrest, Tennessee in July, 1943. He served as an academic and military instructor with the rank of corporal and was qualified as S.S. Carbine in the infantry.

His medals earned included: the American Service Medal; the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on March 8, 1946 at the separation center, Fort McPherson, Georgia.
