James Murphey Wylie

James Murphy Wylie enlisted in the U. S. Air Force from Memphis, Tennessee on January 2, 1951. After training at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, James served with the 520th Air Defense Group, Air Defense Command, in Korea.

His awards and decorations include the Korean Service Medal; the National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.

A1C Wylie was discharged as an Airman First Class, from Truax field, Madison, Wisconsin on November 10, 1954.

James M. Wylie passed away on Jan. 24, 2021 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 90, and is buried in Morrison Memorial Park in Brighton, Tenn.
