Veteran of the Month

Nominate your favorite Military Veteran!

The Tipton County Museum honors our local veterans by honoring their service to our country. On the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm, we honor a Tipton County Veteran for their dedication and service to their country, community, and family. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this free event to offer their gratitude and appreciation for the veteran’s service.

To be eligible for selection for Veteran of the Month nominees must

  • reside in Tipton County
  • have been honorably discharged
  • retired from or presently serving in a branch of the United States Military.
  • nominees will be required to show proof of residency and verification of their veteran’s status.

Once selected, the “Veteran of the Month” will be honored with a reception, a framed certificate, and a flag flown over the state capitol in their honor, and they will also receive additional special gifts. Each “Veteran of the Month” will have their story on display in the museum’s main exhibit area for a month and permanently displayed on the Tipton County Museum’s website.

Friends and family members may nominate their special veteran by completing a Veteran of the Month application and returning it to the Tipton County Museum. Thank you for helping us to honor our Veterans!
