Jimmy Dale Blalack served in Vietnam from Sept. 9, 1968 until Oct. 31, 1968. He was killed action Oct. 31, 1968. He earned the rank of corporal.  Received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and National Defense Medal.
