Kenneth R. Bringle was drafted into the U. S. Army in September, 1965. He spent basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky then went to Fort Huachuca, Arizona for advanced infantry training. He received orders for Vietnam in July, 1966. Sent to the 90th replacement battalion for three weeks then the 163rd transportation battalion; he spent a year carrying troops, ammunition and bombs all over Vietnam. He was discharged as a Specialist E-4 in Oakland, California in July, 1967.
