Charles E. “Bubba” Cole from the Munford area, had basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and advanced training at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
He served in Korea with C Company of the 3rd Engineer Battalion, attached to the 24th Infantry Division, as a demolition specialist. Bubba was discharged as a Master Sergeant. His awards not known.
