Tipton County Museum’s February Gardening Series begins tomorrow

The Tipton County Museum’s annual February Gardening Series will begin this Saturday and this year will be conducted virtually through Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first lecture, “What to Prune When,” will be delivered by Madison County Extension Agent and Master Gardener Program Coordinator Celeste Scott.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, Dr. Chris Cooper, Shelby County Master Gardener Coordinator and creator of WKNO’s  “The Family Plot,” will talk about preparing your landscape for spring.

Retired museum director Barrie Foster – who is an artist, art teacher and art historian – will deliver a lecture on Monet’s Garden on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Booker T. Leigh, the Shelby County Extension Agency and creator of WYPL’s “What’s Growing On,” will wrap up the month-long series on Saturday, Feb. 27 with a lecture on getting your lawn ready for spring and summer.
