William A. Chapman

William A. Chapman, son of William Allen and Annie Merriwether Chapman of Brownsville, enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Corps in January 1941. He served in England, France and Belgium. He saw action in the Battle of the Bulge. Honorably discharged on October 10, 1945. William’s highest rank held was master sergeant, which he held for many years of National Guard service following WWII. William, now deceased-a 32nd degree Mason-was married to Evelyn T. Chapman, a resident of Covington.
